![]() The Brown women's skiing team finished the 2008 USCSA National Championships in ninth place with a total of 17 points, after finishing the giant slalom in 11th and the slalom in sixth. Freshman Blaine Martin (Salt Lake City, UT) was Brown's top overall finisher, earning a 29th-place finish in the giant slalom and a 21st-place finish in the slalom to place 17th overall and earn Second Team All-America honors (combined). (MORE) ![]() Bears Tie for Fourth at ECSC Regionals; Earn Trip to Nationals The Brown skiing team battled through some tough individual finishes in both the slalom and giant slalom, but still managed to earn a trip to the USCSA National Championships, tying for fourth place at the 2008 ECSC Regional Championships. The finish could have been lower, if not for extremely consistent runs in both the slalom and giant slalom from sophomore Elisa Handbury (Sydney, Australia) and senior Sophie Elgort (New York, NY). (MORE) ![]() Consiglio Wins Overall Individual Title as Bears Finish Season Fourth in MacConnell Division Mt. Ascutney, VT - Freshman Krista Consiglio (Bethany, CT) took first and fourth in her final two regular season races to claim the individual title in the MacConnell Division with a total of 225 points, 46 points more than her closest competitor. The first skier at Brown to earn the overall individual title, Consiglio raced through the season, finishing in the top 10 of all 10 of the Bears' races, including winning four. The Bears entered the weekend tied four fourth in the standings with Plymouth State and with a third place finish in both days, were able to finish ahead of the Panthers with 38 points, to PSU's 42.
