Skiing Cruises to 26th Consecutive MacConnell Division Win

WHITEFACE, N.Y. – The Brown skiing team extended its MacConnell Division winning streak to 26 after claiming both giant slalom events at the Clarkson Carnival this weekend.


On Saturday, freshman Natalie Pearl (Steamboat Springs, Colo.) continued her fast collegiate start as she led the field with a run of 1:45.34.  Teammate Emma LeBlanc (Darien, Conn.) placed second overall with a time of 1:46.67.  Castleton State (7:30.09) finished second overall in the team standings, followed by Clarkson (7:33.13) in third.


Pearl struck again on Sunday as she led the field once again with a mark of 1:46.74 in the giant slalom.  After placing sixth overall on Saturday, Ali Gunesch's (Sandy, Ore.) run of 1:47.73 on Sunday was good for third overall.  Castleton State (7:18.98) once again finished second with St. Anselm (7:28.68) clocking in at third place.


Brown looks to continue its winning ways next weekend as they travel to Crotched Mountain for the St. Anselm Carnival.
