Gymnastics Finish Third At UNH Meet

Hanover, NH - The gymnastics team (3-12) finished the UNH tri-meet with a 181.25, team score, finishing in third behind Towson with a 192.45 mark and New Hampshire with a 193.275 mark, winning the meet.

In the vault even junior Jessica Pouchet (Miami, FL) had the top finish for the Bears posting a 9.3 mark while junior Jessica McNell (Darien, CT) finished with a 9.2.

On bars, senior Kelly Moran (Chevy Chase, MD) turned in a 9.3 performance, for Brown's top score in the event. Pouchet finished the event with a 9.175 while Goldstein came in with 8.975, finish.

Senior Melissa Forziat (Garden City, NY) had the top finish on the beam recording a 9.375 mark while junior Mandi Baughman (Exter, NH) turned in a 9.0 score. Senior Maya Vadiveloo (Vernon, CT) finished the event with a 8.925, only having competed on the beam a handful of times.

In the Bears best event of the evening Forziat led the Bears, with a 9.675 performance while freshman Jessica Pestronk (Grand Blanc, MI) finished with a 9.525 mark. Moran finished the floor exercise with a 9.35 mark.

The Bears will gear up for the ECAC Championships next weekend when they will travel to James Madison for the 12:00 PM meet.
