Providence, RI - The women's gymnastic team (1-9) finished third with a 183.125 mark while Yale took first recording a 189.700 score and Bridgeport came in second with a 183.650 team score.
Freshman Sarah Durning (Roswell, GA) had the highest finish for Brown on the vault posting a 9.600, second best in the event. Junior Amber Smith (Fort Myers, FL) was right behind her finishing third with a 9.575 mark while senior Melissa Forziat (Garden City, NY) turned in a 9.300 mark.
On bars, junior Sarah Cavett (Chattanooga, TN) had a third place finish with a 9.700 mark while senior Kelly Moran (Chevy Chase, MD) finished fourth with a 9.675 score. Junior Jessica Pouchet (Miami, FL) rounded out the Bears top scorers finishing with a 9.500 mark.
The Bears struggled on the beam this afternoon finishing with a 46.450, team score placing them in third for the event. Forziat turned in the Bears' best score on the beam finishing with a 9.050 mark.
In their final event of the afternoon Forziat recorded the top score in the event posting a 9.775 while Smith earned a 9.650 for a third place finish. Freshman Jessica Pestronk (Grand Blanc, MI) finished with a 9.425 in the exercise.
The Bears will return to action Saturday February 26 when they will travel to Yale for the Ivy League Classic.
