Sara Carver begins her first season as an assistant coach at Brown. A gymnast for 18 years, Carver competed on the Texas High School National Team and earned a four-year scholarship to the University of Alaska-Anchorage. While at Alaska, Carver competed at NCAA Nationals and also earned Academic All-American honors.

Prior to starting at Brown, Carver coached a high school girls gymnastics team and also coached an elite-level private club team in Texas. A 1997 graduate of Alaska-Anchorage, Carver earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Public Communications and is also a certified gymnastics judge.

In addition to her duties at Brown, Carver also continues to work at Duffy & Shanley, an advertising agency in Providence and is a volunteer at the American Heart Association.
