Gymnastics Tallies 11 NACGC/W All-Academic Honorees, Top ECAC Team GPA

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown University gymnastics tallied 11 NACGC/W All-Academic honorees and earned the top team GPA in the ECAC, the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women announced on Monday.

The Bears charted a team GPA of 3.5200, ranking tops among Ivy League and ECAC programs that sponsor gymnastics. Individuals earned honors for posting a GPA of 3.50 or higher during the 2016-17 academic year.

Senior Tori Kinamon (Peachtree City, Ga.) garnered NACGC/W All-Academic accolades for the fourth time in her career while senior Brooke Williams (Clyde Hill, Wash.) and junior Anya Barca-Hall (Santa Cruz, Calif.) gained the honors for the third season.

Three Bears – juniors Regan Butchness (Barrington, Ill.), Maggie McAvoy (Charlotte, N.C.), and Claire Ryan (Greenwood, Minn.) – all earned the plaudits for the second time.

Brown's five first-time recipients included junior Anya Olson (Farmington Hills, Mich.), sophomores Gabrielle Hechtman (Bellmore, N.Y.) and Cassidy Jung (San Marino, Calif.), and freshmen Anne Christman (Amherst, N.H.) and Ally Rudd (Olympia, Wash.).
