Women's Golf Team 3rd at ECAC Championship

Lewisburg, PA - The Brown women's golf team wrapped-up their successful 2001 Fall season with a third place finish at the ECAC Women's Open Golf Championship, held at the Bucknell Golf Club.

The Bears shot 334-313-647 in the two day event that featured 23 teams, just one shot out of second place behind Princeton (646), and behind first place James Madison (619). Yale (662), Dartmouth (690), Harvard (692), and Penn (697) also represented the Ivy League at the tournament.

Junior Tara Fiscella (Newtown, CT) led the way for the Bears with a fourth place finish individually, carding a two-day 155 (80-75). Sophomore Elizabeth Carpenter (Plantation, FL) placed ninth overall, shooting 85-75-160 for the tournament.

Freshman Jennifer Bley was 16th overall with a two-day 163 (86-77), followed by freshman Amy Behrman (83-88-171) and senior Rebekah Alfond (86-86-172).
