Fencers Compete at NCAA Regionals

NEW YORK, NY - The Brown men's and women's fencing teams competed at the NCAA Regionals at Columbia on Sunday with three Bears earning recommendations for at-large bids to the NCAA Championships on March 21-24.

Junior Paul Friedman (San Marino, CA) led the Bears with a first place finish in men's saber. Also earning a recommendation as an at-large bid on the men's side was senior Mark Dembitz (Mies, Switzerland) who came in at ninth in men's epee.

Senior Sharon Sonenblum (Monroe Township, NJ) also earned a recommendation as an at-large bid as she finished tenth in women's saber.

The NCAA Championships will be held March 21-24 at Drew University in Madison, NJ.
