      <description>Senior Kelly McGuire (Park City, UT) took 10th place in the men's epee and classmate Teddy Weller (Barrington, RI) captured the 13th spot in the men's saber, as the Brown fencing team competed in the second day of the 2013 NCAA Championship at San Antonio's Freeman Coliseum on Friday afternoon. The Bears ended the competition as the 10th best men&#x2019;s fencing squad in the country, notching 23 wins over the course of two days.</description>

      <description>Brown Fencing emerged victorious this past Saturday from their first meet of the season, the Big One, an annual individual meet held at Smith College. The Bears faced over 15 opponents from throughout the northeast, including schools that they will compete against in the Northeast Fencing Conference (NFC). Brown fencers took three out of the six gold medals awarded, and finished the day with 11 medals in total. This finish edged out Sacred Heart, who placed second with 11 medals but only one gold, as well as MIT, who tallied 10 medals, including one gold.</description>

The annual tournament serves to promote fencing in both the U.S. and Korea, and to expose international fencers to Korean culture.</description>
