Women’s Basketball Defeats Columbia 72-63 in Overtime
Providence, RI- Junior guard Sheila Dixon (Schenectady, NY) led the Brown women’s basketball team with 20 points, including eight of the team’s 15 in overtime, and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Bears to a 72-63 overtime victory over the visiting Columbia Lions on Friday evening. The victory improved Brown to 13-8 overall and 4-3 in the Ivy League, while Columbia dropped to 2-18 and 0-6 in league play.

No. 3 Cornell Tops Brown, 5-0
The Brown women’s ice hockey team took on one of top teams in the country on Friday night at Meehan Auditorium and despite a superb defensive effort from junior goaltender Katie Jamieson (Waterloo, Ontario), the Bears fell to No. 3 Cornell, 5-0.

#13 Cornell Erases 2-0 Deficit with Five Unanswered Goals; Defeats Bears, 5-2
For the second game in a row, the Brown men’s hockey team (8-13-3, 5-10-2) let a second period lead slip away, conceding five straight goals to its opposition, as #13 Cornell (12-6-6, 9-3-5) came back from a 2-0 deficit to earn a 5-2 win over Brown on Friday evening at Lynah Rink. The win is Cornell’s first in three tries, as the Bears had won three straight against their Ivy rivals entering Friday’s game.
