Brown Wrestling Defeats Boston University & Roger Williams
February 10, 2012The Brown wrestling team got back on the winning track on Friday afternoon at the Pizzitola Sports Center, downing both Boston University and Roger Williams in dual meets. The Bears picked up a big victory over the Terriers, 19-16, before dominating the Hawks, 41-9.
Bears' Squashers Fall To #1 Harvard, 9-0
The 10th ranked Brown women’s squash team battled the nation’s number one team Harvard before succumbing to the Crimson, 9-0, in its final road contest of the season. The Bears return home for a Senior Day match-up against Dartmouth on Sunday, February 12 at 4:00 p.m. at the Pizzitola Sports Center’s Kate Brodsky Squash Pavilion.
#16 Brown Falls To #4 Harvard, 9-0
Playing its final road game of the season, the 16th ranked Brown men's squash team ran into #4 Harvard, falling to the Crimson by a 9-0 margin. Blake Reison lost in four games to the Crimnson, while Harvard took the remaining eight matches, 3-0. Brown completes its regular season on Sunday, February 12, hosting Dartmouth. It's Senior Day at Brown's Kate Brodsky Squash Pavilion with all the action starting at 2:00 p.m.
Women’s Basketball Defeats Columbia 72-63 in Overtime
Providence, RI- Junior guard Sheila Dixon (Schenectady, NY) led the Brown women’s basketball team with 20 points, including eight of the team’s 15 in overtime, and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Bears to a 72-63 overtime victory over the visiting Columbia Lions on Friday evening. The victory improved Brown to 13-8 overall and 4-3 in the Ivy League, while Columbia dropped to 2-18 and 0-6 in league play.
