



Brown Takes On Two Nationally Ranked Opponents, Hosting No. 10 Dartmouth and No. 9 Harvard
January 27, 2012Brown women’s ice hockey has a challenging weekend at home in Meehan Auditorium as they host two top-four teams in the ECAC. The Bears take on No. 10 Dartmouth on Friday, January 27 at 7 p.m., before facing No. 9 Harvard on Saturday, January, 28 at 4 p.m. Bruno will take the ice with momentum after moving back to .500 overall with their 4-1 win over Yale on Tuesday. Brown has won its past two games and is 4-2-2 in the last eight contests.

Reeve to Coach at U17 National Squad Camp
Brown head field hockey coach Jill Reeve will be joining the coaching staff for the United States U17 National Squad Camp to be held in Chula Vista, CA from January 26-29. Boston College head coach Ainslee Lamb will serve as head coach of the group and will be assisted by Reeve and Jarred Martin, an assistant coach at Duke. The trio will run several days of practice leading up to a final day of scrimmaging at the Olympic Training Center.

Bears to Face Ivy Rivals Dartmouth and Harvard This Weekend
In the midst of a stretch of 16 straight ECAC Hockey contests in which Brown will alternate home and away weekends, the Bears travel to Dartmouth and Harvard to face their Ivy rivals in a pair of critical games. The weekend series marks the first time the teams will play each other in League contests, though Brown and Dartmouth did meet in a non-league game in the season opener, a 2-1 Big Green win. These games are critical for all involved, as Brown and Harvard are tied for 6th in the League with 12 points and Dartmouth and Yale are tied for 9th in the League standings with 11 points. Brown and Yale have a game-in-hand over Harvard, while Dartmouth has a game in hand over Brown and Yale.

Bears Travel to Dartmouth, Harvard in First Full Ivy Weekend
Providence, RI- In the first full weekend of Ivy play, Brown (10-6, 1-1 Ivy) will take on the Dartmouth College Big Green (2-13, 0-1) at 7 p.m. on Friday and then travel to Harvard (8-7, 1-0) for a 2 p.m. tip-off vs. Harvard on Sunday. The Bears swept Dartmouth last season after a 56-55 win at Leede Arena, and earned a series split with Harvard, defeating the Crimson at the Pizzitola Center, 57-56.
