Kirchberg, Seto Earn Brown Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Men’s water polo senior utility Tyler Kirchberg and equestrian senior rider Anna Seto have earned Brown University Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 16-22, Brown announced on Monday. 

Tyler Kirchberg, Men’s Water Polo, Senior, Orinda, Calif.
Senior utility Tyler Kirchberg scored 13 goals last week, including eight goals in the fourth quarter or overtime, to lead Brown to a 4-0 weekend at the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament. A native of Orinda, Calif., he scored five goals, including the game-winning goal with 50 seconds left, in a 9-8 win over Fresno Pacific. He netted three goals in an 11-9 win over Loyola Marymount, posted three goals in a 12-11 win at Santa Clara, and notched two goals in an 11-10 victory over No. 18 Cal Baptist. 

Anna Seto, Equestrian, Senior, Barrington, R.I.
Senior rider Anna Seto won a pair of blue ribbons and captured High Point Rider honors to lead Brown to a first-place team finish at the Roger Williams IHSA Show at Nora Harris Equestrian in Tiverton, R.I., on Saturday. A native of Barrington, R.I., Seto claimed first place in her class in both intermediate fences and novice flat. Her performance helped the Bears gain back-to-back team victories to open the season. Brown also garnered first place as a team at the Becker IHSA Show on Oct. 14.
