PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Men’s basketball sophomore guard Brandon Anderson and women’s basketball junior guard Taylor Will have earned Brown University Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of Nov. 20-26, Brown announced on Monday.
Brandon Anderson, Men’s Basketball, Sophomore, Mahwah, N.J.
Sophomore guard Brandon Anderson scored 20.0 points per game and connected on 30-of-34 free throws (88.2 percent) to help lead Brown to a 2-1 week. A native of Mahwah, N.J., he netted a career-high 24 points in back-to-back games. Against LIU Brooklyn on Saturday, he tallied 24 points, five rebounds, and five assists, hitting 14-of-16 free throws. At Bryant on Sunday, he totaled 24 points and five assists, connecting on 14-of-16 free throws.
Taylor WIll, Women’s Basketball, Junior, Arlington Heights, Ill.
Junior guard Taylor Will tallied 19.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game last week to lead Brown to the Turkey Tip-Off title. A native of Arlington Heights, Ill., she shot 53.8 percent (14-of-26) from the field for the week. In a 74-57 win over Pacific in the title game, Will posted 23 points on 9-of-13 field goals with five rebounds and three steals. She notched 15 points and a career-high nine rebounds in a 73-66 win over Hampton in the semifinals.
