PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Men’s lacrosse junior face-off specialist Ted Ottens and equestrian junior Anna Seto have earned Brown University Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of Apr. 3-9, Brown announced on Monday.

Junior face-off specialist Ted Ottens won 16-of-23 face-offs and picked up a game-high eight ground balls to help lead Brown to an 11-8 win over Penn on Saturday afternoon at Stevenson-Pincince Field. A native of Wilton, Conn., Ottens won 11-of-11 face-offs in the second quarter as the Bears turned a 5-1 deficit into a 7-5 lead with a 6-0 run. Ottens scored the penultimate goal in the streak, giving the hosts a 6-5 edge.
Anna Seto, Equestrian, Junior, Barrington, R.I.
Junior Anna Seto won her class in novice fences to lead Brown at the 2017 IHSA Zone 1 Finals. With her performance at zones, the Barrington, R.I., native qualified for the 2017 IHSA National Championships from May 4-7 in Lexington, Ky., at The Kentucky Horse Park. Seto and sophomore Yinan Liu became the Bears’ first national qualifiers since Kabisa Baughen ’17 went to nationals in 2014.
