Junior forward Andrew McCarthy led the Bears to wins in two of three games and turned in a blockbuster performance against Dartmouth to give Brown its first Ivy win of the season. Against the Big Green, McCarthy just missed a triple-double by scoring a game high 19 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and blocking seven shots. His seven blocked shots against the Big Green set a new Brown record and rank sixth in the Ivy League record book. An Economics Concentrator, McCarthy also had 15 points on 6 of 7 shooting from the field, and nine rebounds in Brown's win over Bryant, and battled in a nine-point loss to Harvard with 13 points and six rebounds. He connected on 16 of 27 field goals for the week, a sparkling 59-percent shooting performance from the field. He was named the Ivy League Player of the Week for his efforts.
