Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach Steve DiLustro Accepts Job at Stanford
Brown University Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach Steve
DiLustro will be leaving Brown as he accepted a job at Stanford
University. DiLustro spent the last two years working with many of
Brown’s 37 varsity sports under the direction of Head
Strength & Conditioning Coach Roger Marandino. As an assistant
strength and conditioning coach at Stanford, he will be working
with the baseball team.
Dilustro, a native of Seekonk, Massachusetts, got his start at
Brown in 2001 working as an intern under Marandino. He also worked
as a graduate assistant strength coach as the University of Arizona
from 2001-2003, and then as an assistant strength and conditioning
coach at Arizona until June 2006. When he arrived back at Brown in
the fall of 2007, he worked with men’s and women’s
basketball, women’s ice hockey, volleyball, women’s
lacrosse, gymnastics, swimming & diving, and baseball.
DiLustro earned a BS in Exercise Physiology from UMass Lowell in
2000. He went on to earn a Master’s of Education from the
University of Arizona in December of 2003. He holds a CSCS
(certified strength and conditioning specialist) from the NSCA
(national strength and conditioning association). He is also a USA
Weightlifting Association club coach.
