In 2000, Tom Bold was named Associate Athletic Director – Facilities. He is responsible for the scheduling and operations of all athletic facilities as well as managing the construction and renovation of facilities. He also supervises the management of all home athletic contests. Additionally, he serves as the administrator for women’s hockey, women’s crew, men’s lacrosse, and wrestling.

Bold first arrived at Brown in September of 1984 as the assistant wrestling coach to Head Coach Dave Amato. In December of 1988, he took over the duties of ticket office manager while continuing on with his coaching duties. In April of 1991, he relinquished his coaching duties and accepted a position of Assistant to the Athletic Director, David Roach. Bold was later promoted to Assistant Athletic Director in 1996.

In 1984, Bold received a B.A. in Urban Studies from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. While at Lehigh, he was a four-year starter on the wrestling team.

Bold has served as Executive Director of the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association, an affiliate organization of the ECAC, since 1992. He is also currently a member of the Division I NCAA wrestling rules committee.

Bold is originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He now resides in South Kingstown, Rhode Island with his wife Pat, their three children Jimmy, Philip, and Maggie, and their dog Penny.
