Dear Brown Athletics alumni, parents and friends,
It's been another incredible year for Brown's student-athletes and coaches. I am so proud of the hard work our astounding student-athletes put forth both on and off the playing fields. They, along with our determined and incredible coaches, make my job so gratifying. Our coaches serve as educators and mentors, allowing our student-athletes to grow and mature as students, athletes and as people. They are the reason Brown's athletics programs have experienced so much success.

These amazing coaches and student-athletes need your support. Brown's fiscal year is just days away from ending on June 30, 2009, and it is critically important that we meet the Brown Sports Foundation's annual-use fundraising goal of $3.23 million. As of Friday, June 26th, they are $400,000 away from reaching goal. Every dollar helps and truly makes a difference. Without the support of alumni, parents and friends, our athletic programs would not be where they are today.
Please support our coaches and student-athletes with a gift to your favorite team(s) or the Athletic Director's Excellence Fund. Every gift is important - we need you on our team!

The Sports Foundation has made giving to Brown Athletics easier than ever through a secured online giving page at www.gifts.brown.edu. Simply click on the link or paste the address into your web browser and follow the instructions on the page to make a secure online gift with your credit card.

If you prefer, you can also make a check out to the Brown Sports Foundation and mail it to "Brown Sports Foundation at Box 1925, Providence, RI 02912." Please be sure to let us know if you'd like your gift to support a specific team or if you'd like to support all of Brown's student-athletes with a gift to the Athletic Director's Excellence Fund.

You can also call the Sports Foundation at (401) 863-1900 and make a credit card gift over the phone.

As a reminder, in order for your gift to count towards this fiscal year, checks mailed must be postmarked by June 30 and credit card gifts must be made online or received by June 30.

Giving Levels
Drive for Five Team Gifts of $5,000+ - The goal of the Drive for Five program, which is especially pertinent during the Plan for Academic Enrichment, is to establish a vital and consistent group that annually provides leadership giving for Brown's athletic teams.

Leaders on the Rise Team Gifts of $1,000-$4,999 - Leaders on the Rise provide a solid foundation of giving that is critical to the success of Brown's teams.

Loyal Bears - The Importance of Participation Gifts of any size - Our Loyal Bears are "ever true" to Brown student-athletes, remaining firmly committed through victory and defeat by making a gift to Brown Athletics in each of the last four fiscal years.
