In spring 2003 the venerable Marvel Gymnasium was finally demolished and a new multi-purpose field constructed. The focus of the field project was the development of a beautiful regulation-sized rugby field with permanent goal posts. The men's and women's programs have priority field use for both practices and games.

This space provides a home to the nearly 100 student-athletes who compete on our popular rugby club teams. Among other things, the fields will be used for other club and intramural athletic activities such as Ultimate Frisbee.

Field space remains among the most significant challenges for the Athletics Department and this project has provided an outstanding supplement to the fields located in the Erickson Athletic Complex.
