Donna Yaffe won three letters in basketball and softball at Newton, Massachusetts High School. She was also the Boston Globe's "Player of the Year," and was selected to the New England Junior Olympic Team. At Brown Donna rewrote the record book; all-time leading scorer (career, season, game). She was Ivy League Rookie of the Year and holds the distinction of being named Ivy League Player of the Year twice. Coach Maureen Enos with Donna Yaffe and players like Sue Maloney, Christa Champion, Kerry Kelly, Michelle Smith, Carol Kozar, and Katie Curtis bought two Ivy League championships to Brown.

When Donna finished her basketball career at Brown she was named 3rd team All-American, All-East, 2nd team Academic All-American and Kodak N.E. District All-American. In the summer of 1985 she was captain of the U.S. Women's Maccabiah team in Israel. In 1985-86 Donna played professionally in Sweden. Donna is still the student! Having received her Master's degree in psychology from the University of the Pacific in 1990, she is a doctoral candidate in clinical health psychology at Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
