Joshua H. Weeks '19 was a freshman when he started at right end for Brown in the 1915 Rose Bowl game. A powerful 190-pounder, Weeks was recognized as a fierce tackler and a solid blocker. The graduate of New Bedford High and Worcester Academy also starred for the Bruins in 1916 and 1917, during which time Brown had an accumulative 16-3 record, and served as captain of the war team of 1918 which defeated both Harvard and Dartmouth. He was selected to Walter Camp's second All-American team that year. Josh Weeks, who was president of his class, also was a star baseball player on College Hill
