Playing golf at Brown is a tradition for the Tracy family. Kevin Tracy is one of four Tracy boys to compete on Brown’s Varsity Golf Team, and the 1985 graduate is considered to be the finest golfer in Brown history. Recognized for his prominence on the course, Kevin is the only golfer recognized on Brown’s 100 Greatest Athletes List.
Kevin’s golf career at Brown looked promising from the beginning, as he earned a fourth place finish in the Ivy League Championship in his freshman season. That finish, coupled with stellar play throughout his rookie campaign, earned him First Team All Ivy Honors.
In his sophomore and junior season, Kevin continued to elevate his golf game, earning Second Team All-Ivy honors as a sophomore. His efforts helped rank the Brown golf team among the top teams in the Northeast.
As a senior, Kevin finished just shy of an Ivy League individual championship, placing second in the Ivy League Championship. Kevin again earned First Team All-Ivy honors, making him the only golfer in Brown history to receive that honor twice.
Since graduation, Kevin has remained heavily involved within the Brown community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Brown Club of Rhode Island. He and his sister, Marianne ’79, have also served as the Presidents of the Brown Club of Rhode Island.
Kevin continues to participate in numerous charity golf events. In 1999, he made a 50 foot putt to win $5,000 in cash as part of the National Kidney Foundation Annual Journey.
Kevin is the Vice President and Relationship Manager in Small Business Services at Fleet Bank. He and his wife, Molly, live in Rumford, RI with their three sons, Daniel, Brendan, and Ryan.
