Lauren Becker arrived at Brown after graduating from Friends Central High School in Philadelphia, where had lettered for four years in field hockey, basketball and lacrosse. At Brown, she set all kinds of records. In field hockey (which she captained) she was a first-team All-Ivy selection in 1984, 1985 and 1986. In 1984, she was also Ivy League rookie-of-the-year. As a junior, she led the Ivy League in scoring. Becker was also selected MVP in 1984, 1985 and 1986. Field hockey, of course, is only part of Lauren's athletic story. During the spring, Lauren also set all kinds of records. In 1984 - rookie-of-the-year, second team All-Ivy in 1984, first team All-Ivy in 1986 and 1987, and in 1986 she set an Ivy League record for most assists in a season. Her individual Brown records include most career assists, most career points, most assists in a season, most points in a season, most single game points. Lauren is currently employed by Robert Brooks Associates, and she and her husband, Jon, reside in Penn Valley, Pennsylvania.
