Harry Platt '40 holds the Brown record for most points scored inone game with 48 and most field goals in one game with 21, both setagainst Northeastern on Feb. 2, 1938. The 6-3 pivotman gainednational prominence that year when he scored 406 points for anaverage of 21.4 points per game. His average was second highest inthe country and in total points he ranked third nationally. As ajunior, Platt led Brown to a 21-4 record and participation in thefirst NCAA tournament. Platt was also a fine playmaker and anoutstanding defenseman, one who normally put a blanket on suchstars of his day as Chet Jaworski of URI and Gus Broberg ofDartmouth. Captain in his senior year, Platt ended his career with866 points, then a Brown record.
