Wendy R. Panetta is currently training for a marathon, having completed three. At Brown, however, Wendy achieved fame as an outstanding swimmer.

Freshman year she finished first in the 200 butterfly event at the Easterns and set a meet record. She also finished fourth in the 100 butterfly at that meet.

Sophomore year Wendy once again finished first in the 200 butterfly and fifth in the 100 butterfly at the Easterns. Meanwhile, Wendy and her teammates were winning dual meets as well as championships.

Junior and senior years Wendy finished second and third in the 200 butterfly and fourth in the 100 butterfly at the Easterns. Co-captain of the team her senior year, Wendy was selected All-Ivy four times and All-Eastern four times.

In the classroom Wendy was also a leader, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She also received the Margery B. Smith Award and the Florence Filipo Award for her outstanding contributions to Brown athletics.

Wendy and her husband, Steve, make their home in Roswell, Georgia (north of Atlanta), where he is involved in investment and insurance planning.
