Kenneth L. Nash '12
Year Inducted: 1971
Kenneth L. Nash '12 was a stylish and graceful shortstop who captained the 1912 Brown team and then signed with Cleveland, where his infield partner that first year was Nap Lajoie. The 5-8, 140-pound Nash played with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1914 when that club was managed by Miller Huggins. A pepper-pot on the field, Nash was a player who whole fight the umpires tooth and nail when he thought he was right. Baseball coach at Tufts from 1920 to 1941, Nash turned out a 21-3 team in 1922 which claimed a share of the New England championship.
