Forward Peter Moss stood tall on the court and stands tall among Brown's basketball greats, thanks to his ranking as Brown's sixth all-time leading scorer with 1,241 points. That statistic is just one of the achievements that place him eighth or (in most cases) higher in twelve different Brown scoring categories. A few of them: Sixth all-time scoring average (15.9 ppg), sixth all-time career field goals (467), fifth all-time field goal percentage (.514), seventh all-time career free throws (307), seventh all-time free-throw percentage (.767), and fifth single-season points scored (540) in his senior year). A three-year varsity starter, Moss was a physically strong player and a tremendous leaper who never missed a starting assignment in four years (including the freshman team). He was twice a first-team All-Ivy selection, chosen unanimously for that honor in 1980 when he also made the first-team All-New England squad. That year Moss was the Ivy League Player of the Year and the league's leading scorer with 21.2 points per game. He participated in the New England All-star Hall of Fame game and the Pizza Hut Eastern All-District Team, and capped his honors by being named the 1980 Words Unlimited Division One Basketball Player of the Year. Today he is a marketing representative with IBM in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
