Dr. Milton Hodosh '50, one of the finest linebackers in Brownfootball history, was a starter in every game during his fourvarsity seasons. He also was a pulling guard for Coach Rip Engleand was a member of the 7-2 and 8-1 teams in 1948 and 1949. At HopeHigh in Providence, Hodosh won All-State honors in football andtrack. While in the service, he played at Sampson Naval Stationunder Coach Bear Bryant, and at St Mary's Pre-Flight on a team thatincluded quarterback Frankie Albert of Stanford, fullback Steve"Six-Yard" Sitko of Notre Dame, and Len Eshmont of Fordham. Duringhis Brown years he was All-East, All-New England, and honorablemention All-American. Hodosh set a University javelin record with atoss of 197-9, finished second in the IC4A's, and took the NewEnglands three times. A 1954 graduate of Tufts Dental School, Dr.Hodosh, who is a member of the Brown faculty, has won nationalattention for his experiments with implanting artificial teeth.
