Rick Handelman came to Brown from the cradle of lacrosse - Maryland. Cliff Stevenson rates Rick as one of the finest attackmen to play for Brown. Rick was the man that the team went to when the offense had to be cranked up. During his senior year, Rick had 2 goals and 6 assists against national champion Johns Hopkins. A very unselfish player, he had 109 assists (a Brown record), in addition to 59 goals. He held the total point record for ten years. As a senior, Rick garnered All-American and first team All-Ivy honors. He is currently a Doctor of Podiatry residing in Arnold, Maryland, with his wife, Amy, and sons Joshua and Jordan.
