Yvonne Goldsberry was one of the key figures in the establishment of a women’s soccer dynasty at Brown. She was a four-year All-Ivy selection, a co-captain as a junior and senior, and a defender for the 1980 squad that won Brown’s first Ivy championship in 1980. She was an All-New England pick once, an All-Region choice on two occasions and was named second-team All-American as a junior. As a senior, Goldsberry was presented the Bessie H. Rudd Award given annual to the woman “who has contributed the most to the Women’s Athletic Association, and who has done the most to promote women’s sports during the year. The award selection is based on enthusiasm, spirit, sportsmanship and leadership.” Yvonne currently lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts and is president of the Aureus Company in Worcester.
