In conversation with former Brown CoachDave Roach (now at Tennessee) he will tell you that Lori wasinstrumental in turned the Women’s Swimming Program around, helping to bring the program into one of the best in the East andmaking it competitive nationally. Four years of competition atBrown brought Lori enough victories and honors to set an examplefor years to come. She established Brown records in the 50, 100,and 200 Backstroke, as well as the 200 and 400 Medley Relays. Inaddition to the Brown records she also established Ivy Leaguerecords in the 50 Backstroke, 100 Backstroke, and 200 Backstrokeand 400 Medley Relay. At the Ivy meets she won 5 individual IvyLeague Titles. It seems superfluous but Lori was All-Ivy for fouryears. In addition she was also chosen on the All-East for fouryears. All of these honors were capped off when she was chosenAll-American in the 50, 100 and 200 Backstroke. Lori claims thatshe doesn’t “remember the exact finishes in Ivies,Easterns, and Nationals, that’s what happens after 5 yearsand 2 kids.” Fortunately Brown remembers all the victoriesand honors that Lori brought her University.
