David V. DeLuca '64, a hard-hitting outfielder, was named to the All-American third team in 1964 after leading all New England hitters with a .397 batting average. The native of Gloversville, NY, also was All-Ivy and All-New England. As a senior, DeLuca was a consistently aggressive and effective hitter for both percentage and power. His coach, Stan Ward, claimed that the big right handed hitter had one of the best swings he had ever seen in a college player. Coming to Brow from Williston Academy, DeLuca was a Dean's List student, Brown Key, secretary treasurer of his class, and Sigma Nu. He earned his LL.B. from Syracuse in 1968 and won the law school's Moot Court competition. He's now an attorney in Rochester, NY.
