Michelle Mosher Crosby came to Brown from Storrs, Connecticut, where she was a four-year starter on the Edwin O. Smith High School soccer team. In addition to being captain of that team, she was also an All-State selection. While at Brown, Michelle majored in Psychology. Coach Phil Pincince ranks Michelle as one of the key center halfbacks that has ever played for Brown: “She controlled the midfield for the Bears and was the main link between the defense and the offense.” A second team All-Ivy selection as a freshman, she went on to be a first team selection during the next three years. Her teammates made her a co-captain along with another Brown great, Frances Fusco. She was also honored by being selected All-New England three consecutive years and as a senior she was named to the All-American team. In the fall of 1983 she worked with Phil Pincince as an assistant coach. Since graduating from Brown, Michelle has continued her education and received her Ph.D. She and husband Ray reside in Stamford, Connecticut.
