Teresa arrived at Brown from Daly City, California, where she attended Westmoor High School and played a variety of sports, but not soccer. She captained the softball team for three years, and as a senior she captained the basketball and volleyball teams. While she also played softball at Brow, coach Phil Pincince will tell you that she was a mainstay on his outstanding 1984 soccer team. In 1981 and 1982, Teresa was second-team All-Ivy, and also All-Ivy first-team in softball in 1982. She was first-team All-Ivy in 1983 and 1984; and in 1984 she was All-American, Ivy player-of-the-year, All-New England and the team’s MVP. During the 1986, 1987, 1989 and 1990 seasons, Teresa participated in the U.S. Olympic Festival and won 2 gold medals. She toured China in 1987 with the U.S. National Team, and in 1988 she and her California teammates won the U.S. Amateur Team Cup. Teresa is an electrical engineer living in Redondo Beach, California, and yes, she is still playing soccer as a member of the U.S. Amateur Team.
