Davies Bisset was named Executive Director of the Brown University Sports Foundation in fall of 2010. He came to Brown after almost ten years in Charlottesville, Virginia with the University of Virginia. At Virginia, he worked at both the UVa Darden School of Business and the UVa School of Engineering in senior fundraising and alumni relations roles. He chaired Darden’s 50th Anniversary initiative and later served as Campaign Director for the UVa School of Engineering’s Capital Campaign.
Earlier in his career, Davies worked in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and Providence in senior management roles in the for-profit and non-profit sectors.
Davies graduated from Brown in 1985. When he was a Brown student, the University launched its first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign and Davies chaired the Students Campaign for Brown Committee, enlisting students to work for and participate in that campaign. This led to a life-long interest and successful career in higher education advancement.
Davies is a native Rhode Islander and lives in East Greenwich, RI with his wife and three daughters.
